Source of today’s featured fashion: Ladies Home Journal (June, 1912)
Those little wreaths are sure original, don’t think I’ve every seen that before. I wonder what something like this would cost. I guess if you were the type to be invited to fab parties, you probably didn’t have to be too concerned on cost.
The wreaths are an unique way of gathering and draping the cloth. Most of the fashion pictures in Ladies Home Journal were for patterns that readers could buy and sew the outfits for themselves. I suppose that the fancy cloth and hardware to make the wreathes were relatively expensive–but it probably wasn’t too costly to make the dress.
