Feels a little Russian or Polish to me. My Aunty Kathleen made her kids Ukrainian dance outfits years ago, lots of work to make the trims and they often wear sashes too.
What a great idea for a blog! I nominated you for a LIebster Award for new bloggers. Happy Monday 🙂 http://clotheswithkids.com/2012/12/17/liebster-award/
Thanks for nominating Fashion A Hundred Years Ago. I’m honored that you think it is worthy of the award.
I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re right, the shirtwaist does have a Polish or Russian essence.
