Source of today’s featured fashion: Dress and Vanity Fair Magazine (October, 1913)
Wow…that’s something really different…crazy hat.
I just discovered a new fashion magazine from 1913. It’s called Dress and Vanity Fair–I think it somehow morphed into Vogue Magazine over the years. (I’m not sure how). It’s a fun magazine and has lots of drawings of outfits that are very fancy. I’m post some more in the future.
An aside–I’m still looking for drawing of dresses homemakers wore a hundred years ago. They aren’t shown in the magazines much . . . probably too mundane.
LOL, yes the life of a housewife can be mundane…that’s why we BLOG…ha ha 🙂 well thanks for remembering Sheryl.
Makes sense that an old Vogue might print this type of advantgarde confection…they seem to be a little less mainstream.
Somehow I can’t picture your life ever being mundane.
HA, well not if I can help it…but if there were fireworks everyday, they soon wouldn’t seem half as spectacular xK
